This site is targetted at bringing together two groups of people:
1. International students who will be, or already are, studying in Paris
2. Paris families who want to host an international student
We do not allow commercial agencies to advertise on this site.
The purpose of this site is purely intended to facilitate bringing together the above two groups without any other party in the chain charging weekly fees and possibly charging additional insurance premiums of up to 30% of the weekly homestay fee to the student.
For students the site is and always will be completely free.
For host families it is also free or they can choose a paid listing for a token fee. This gives enhanced features and contributes towards the running of this site.
First you must register as a student or homestay provider.
As part of the registration you must activate your account.
Then you can login.
Once logged in, under the "My Settings" section use the "My Public Profile" link to create and update your listing.
We do not inspect accommodation or screen visiting students.
The purpose of this website is to provide a platform for students and homestay providers to communicate.
There are some agencies who will provide inspections/screening but you should expect to pay for this type of service if you need it.
These are set by each homestay provider.
This is between the student and homestay provider.
We feel it is better to have fewer people in the chain wanting a slice of the money for doing little or nothing.

There is none. We offer premium listings to homestay providers for a token fee which they can choose to opt for. These cover our operating costs.

Login to the site.
Under "My Settings" choose "Edit My Profile".
On the second page change the Listing type to Featured.
Continue to the last page of your listing.
Click "Finish" to make the update.
Instructions to cancel a featured listing are provided in almost every email you received from PayPal.

There is no minimum contracted period, no exit fees, no hidden terms and conditions. Cancel anytime you wish.
Upgrades are automatic the instant we receive payment. Delays occur if you send an eCheque / eCheck by PayPal.
PayPal will send an eCheque / eCheck instead of an Instant Payment if you have a bank account associated with your PayPal account rather than a credit / debit card.
PayPal takes time to process eCheques / eChecks before they send us payment, they will always give you an estimated date in their payment notification emails.
Almost all login problems are caused by using different letter case on the e-mail address or password.
Please use consistent letter case when logging in as when you registered.
E.g. If you registered as Stanleylaurel@hotmail.com you will not be able to login as stanleylaurel@hotmail.com.

Under the "For Students" section choose search or browse to find the homestay you are interested in.
Click the contact tab.
It is typical to pay on arrival but it is up to agreement between the homestay and the student.
You can do this but it is not recommended. Amost certainly it will lead to spam e-mail.
We have heard of this where students are being asked to pay insurance of up to 30% of the weekly homestay amount. This is in addition to:
the weekly/monthly payment to homestay
commission to the agency
any deposit (usually 2 or 4 weeks)
We feel these insurances are completely unnecessary. As a comparison, if a person rents a property they are not forced to purchase similar insurance from a letting agency. There is no legal obligation to purchase such insurance. However if you do prefer to have such insurance through a homestay agency make sure you receive:
policy documentation
name of the underwriters
details of any commission paid to the introducer
We periodically remove old student listings. Also the free homestay listings are removed every 3-4 months.
